Assessment time over *cheers*
So, today was the day I had been dreading. ASSESSMENT DAY!! Well, it turned out not to be as bad as I was expecting! It went really well, I am where they want me to be and should pass the year if I continue the way I have been going. I am so glad that that is over now. AND now I get two weeks off and get to start the first brief of the second semester.

The Legend of the Giant's Gate
Meet the Giant that is hidden by a secret gate. All the children are scared of the legend of the giant, not even knowing if it's true, that is all except one child, a young girl named Millie.

Back to A-Level...
As I was looking through the illustration's in the Big Book of Contemporary Illustration, I saw a couple of illustrations of Venice and Venetian architecture. These took me back to my A-Level work, where I chose to study Venetian masks and architecture. Just thought I would do a bit of reminiscing...
Stephen Wiltshire MBE
"Venice, Italy" 2008, Pen/Ink
Alicia Hough
"Venetian Architecture" 2004, Pencil/Watercolour
This is one of my painting's from my A-Level course.

Just a bit of light reading...
So, before Christmas, I ordered several books off Amazon, and I just thought that I would share them with you. One of the books was the Big Book of Contemporary Illustration by Martin Dawber, the link for Amazon is below.

I love just looking through these books and looking for inspiration. Some illustration's that caught my eye include:
Nadir Kianersi
"Yousef House" 2000, Pen/Ink
Stephen Wiltshire MBE
"Big Ben On A Rainy Evening" 2008, Pen/Ink/Oil pastel

Well, hello 2011!
Sorry, it has been so long since I last blogged. What with the hectic-ness of Christmas and New Year, and the start of uni again, I just haven't found time. Well, I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas and hope 2011 has started off with a bang for you. xx
