The Owl and The Pussycat by Edward Lear

Here's a copy of the poem, 'The Owl and the Pussycat' by Edward Lear, for anyone unsure of the poem:

The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
"O lovely Pussy! O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are, you are, you are,
What a beautiful Pussy you are."
Pussy said to the Owl "You elegant fowl,
How charmingly sweet you sing.
O let us be married, too long we have tarried;
But what shall we do for a ring?"
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-tree grows,
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood
With a ring at the end of his nose, his nose, his nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.
"Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling your ring?"
 Said the Piggy, "I will"
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon.
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand.
They danced by the light of the moon, the moon, the moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.

So, we were given a new brief, and as I am studying children's illustration, I have to illustrate the poem by Edward Lear, The Owl and the Pussycat. These are the characters I have come up with for the poem, so far. [If you're unfamiliar with the poem, there are the owl and the pussycat (the main characters) and there is also a pig and a turkey.]

So, last week, me and friend went to a concert. It was good to have a change of scenery, and to let our hair down. We saw Taylor Swift, an American singer who writes all her own songs. Her concerts are amazing, and you can tell she puts a lot into the set designs, and the concert as a whole. I would definitely recommend going to one of her concerts next time she's around (only if you like her music though!!!). Some of the pictures are below:

So here it is. My short animatic based on the alphabet brief. Hope you enjoy it...

Animation time!

So we were given a new animation brief the other week. Using our alphabet mini-books as a base, we had to design a animated sequence that was to be between 9 and 12 slides and 10 to 30 seconds.

These are the stills/storyboard for my animation:
                                                       

The basic story is a dolphin jumps up at a duck swimming along unknowingly. Only simple, but sometimes that's what works best.
